Phreedom2600 Project

Phreedom2600 is a project to develop Freedom Respecting Embedded Devices. Phreedom stands for Phone freedom and 2600 Hz is the frequency that was used on long-distance telephone lines. The current prototype of an analog telephone adapter is based on the BeagleBone Black, a USB soundcard from Vikings and some passive components on a stripboard. The BeagleBone Black is sold on the Phreedom2600 Webshop, under the name Knochenreiter with Debian replaced by Parabola.
